FINISHER’S MERCH
If you completed the virtual run and sent us a pre-paid satchel, or you just sent us a pre-paid satchel ‘cause running is for suckers, you’ll soon-ish be receiving your WECH50 swag. Please be patient with us waiting to receive your stuff - it’s a big job packing and posting it out. So please don’t email us asking where it is…
WILDCARE AUSTRALIA DONATION
There was a large group of you who opted to add your share from the refund pool to our Wildcare Australia donation fund, and we are super stoked to be able to share that the Wild Earth Coastal High 50 event donated $14,000 to Wildcare Australia to assist with bushland revegetation efforts in our local area affected by the September bushfires. Thanks to everyone for chipping in - Wildcare are extremely grateful.
We also wrapped up the partial refund process last week, and anyone who opted-in for a refund should now have received their money.
THAT'S IT FOR WECH50 2019!
Look - we like you guys, we really do - but we're also extremely glad to have the 2019 WECH50 event behind us. With the normal pressures that come with organising this awesome event (if we do say so ourselves), combined with the stress of cancellation and the ongoing admin with refunds and the virtual run, this 50km ultra turned into a multi-day epic...and we are glad to have reached the finish line mostly in one piece. Although Chris does have this horrible chafe that he can't explain?
Anyway, thanks for riding out this one with us. Stay safe, happy running, and we'll see you all soon!
Cheers,
Chris & Matt
