Participants ARE NOT to drive or be dropped to the start line on race morning. Unless you are staying at Binna Burra Lodge on the Friday night prior (see ACCOMMODATION), participants must make use of the event shuttle bus service. Participants will be disqualified if they break this rule.
Note that given the early start for the shuttle bus, it's not a bad idea to bring a sleeping mask and some headphones to try and grab a little extra sleep before the race! We will then transport any of this gear back to the finish line for you.
PRE-EVENT SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE
Participants MUST make their way to the event start line via a bus service:
1) NERANG TO BINNA BURRA BUS
The location of the pickup is the Nerang Bicentennial Community Centre- 833 Southport-Nerang Road, Southport.

Carpark opens: 4:00am on race day
Bib Collection: 4:00am - 4:35am
Bus departures commence: 4:15am (or when full). Last bus departs: no later than 4:40am
2) For those staying the night prior or driving to the finish area at the Settlement Day Use Area - Carricks Rd, Springbrook (see map below).

Carpark opens: 4:00am on race day (from 4:00-7:00pm race eve for those camping)
Bib Collection: 4:00am - 4:20am

The parking area gate will be locked at the time of bus departure - please ensure that if you are being dropped off that your driver leaves before this time.
3) FOR THOSE STAYING AT BINNA BURRA
Upon dropping runners at the start line, our buses drive up to Binna Burra Lodge to turn around - and collect any runners staying the night prior at the Binna Burra Lodge’s accommodation offerings. This service will be at approximately 5:20am.
You can choose to jog or walk down to the hill, but we ask you not to drive or be dropped off due to limited space for parking or turning around.
NOTE: DO NOT BE LATE as the bus will not be able to wait
GEAR BAGS
Competitors are permitted a small bag to take with them to the start line which will then be transported to the finish line for you for you to collect.
Once you have finished with any excess gear before you start; take your closed bag, complete with the bag tag provided as part of your race bib to the event truck. These bags will be taken to the event finish line for you to access post race.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Participants are not to drive themselves to the start line on race morning - please make use of the event buses from Nerang or Springbrook Mountain or stay in accommodation at Binna Burra. Bib collection will be available on Saturday morning at the shuttle bus pick-up area only (unless you are staying at Binna Burra - see option 1 in ACCOMMODATION) - there will be no bib collection available at the Binna Burra start precinct on race morning.
This is the first year of these arrangements, we will reach out shortly before the event to confirm the likely demands on each service and adjust as required. Please assist by replying to the survey when required.
There will be return transport to Binna Burra after the event for Binna Burra Lodge or Campground guests. Shuttles at 12.00pm, 2.45pm and 5.15pm.
There will be return transport to Nerang 12.15pm, 2.30pm, 5.00pm.
