TRIPLE CROWN INFORMATION

Series Events

Three (3) races shall comprise the Trail Trips Triple Crown;

• the existing Wild Earth ‘In the Raw’ in Numinbah Valley on Sunday June 9

• the Wild Earth ‘Border Bolt’ on Sunday August 4

• finishing with the prestigious Wild Earth ‘Coastal High’ on Saturday August 31

Series Distances

There will be two options in the inaugural Trail Trips Triple Crown; a short course and long course.

Short course distances are: Wild Earth ‘In the Raw’ 15k, Wild Earth ‘Border Bolt’ 22k and the Wild Earth ‘Coastal High Crunch’ (28k).

Long course distances are: Wild Earth ‘In the Raw’, Wild Earth ‘Border Bolt’ 31k and the Wild Earth ‘Coastal High 50’ (50k).

Series Categories 

1. Overall Champions & placegetters will be recognised for both Short & Long Series

2. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each age category in both the Short & Long Course Series.

3. The age categories for 2024 shall reflect those that will be included at each individual event. Note that these new age categories have been determined based on a pro rata system so all runners have categories of approximately the same size to compete in.

• 15-23 M&F

• 24-33 M&F

• 34-41 M&F

• 42-47 M&F

• 48-54 M&F

• 55-64 M&F

• 65+ M&F

Series Scoring

Lowest score wins!

• Your placings at each event in your category shall be accumulated to determine your total score. The higher you place; the lower that number, the better your chances.

• Participation in ALL THREE events is required and runners must race in the same division at each event; i.e. SHORT COURSE or LONG COURSE option at all three events.

• Overall placegetters at each event shall be counted in the age groups for the purpose of the TRIPLE CROWN.

• Overall TRIPLE CROWN Champions shall be decided by the lowest accumulative score of OVERALL race placings at each event.

Series Prizes 

Overall Series Placegetters will receive: 

• Champions: $250 cash, $250 Wild Earth voucher, 50% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series.

• Runner-Ups: $150 cash, $150 Wild Earth voucher, 25% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series.

• Third Place Getters: $100 cash, $100 Wild Earth voucher, 25% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series.

Age Champions will receive $75 Wild Earth Vouchers and a 25% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series. 

Series Entry 

Be one of the exclusive band to register for the Series as a whole and you're automatically in contention PLUS you save $$$

Participants of each of the individual events who race in the corresponding distance for the respective Crowns; Short Course or Long Course, will also be in the running for Series titles and prizes. No separate entry is required.

STANDARD ENTRY

Can’t commit up-front?! No problem! No separate entry to the Series is necessary; simply enter each individual event when you’re ready. Your results will be compiled by our event partners; Sports Event Services and you’re still eligible for Series prizes.

Series tickets open December 1st, 2023. The first 150 participants who register for the complete Trail Trips Triple Crown Series will receive the custom Medal Hanger (available for collection at the merchandise tent at Round 1).
